Disgusting. So bad we couldn't even stay for dessert.

The lights were dimmed, probably because the floor looked so FILTHY! It was like they hadn't used a vacuum in a while - yuck!

9/21/2006 - My birthday. We've passed Allison's for years & noted its staying power. So I nominated it for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately, one of the co-owners - who was appetizingly about to bust out of his white chef's jacket - was extremely rude from start: He tried to shift my elderly father from his seat so he could seat more people at an adjacent table. Mind you, there were plenty of other tables around as we arrived at 6:15pm! Next, he neglected to tell us that evening's specials, although he told a family next to us AFTER we ordered! He kept bugging us to order, like he wanted us out of there really fast. The food was tough: The jumbo prawns, chicken & veal dishes. The Merlot tasted dish-water cheap. On top of everything, he refused to turn up the VERY dim lights so my parents could see what they were ordering & eating.
Value
Wine tasted like dirty dish water. Veal, chicken & jumbo prawns were overcooked and very tough.
Overall
THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER EATEN IN...and I've eaten in many many restaurants all over the world!

Exquisite presentation and captures all delicate flavors of Italy, without being overpowered by the usual suspects of Italian fare.
Atmosphere
Inauspicious from the outside - but inside the mood is set with warmly painted walls and comfortable tables. Even the red tile floor in the oversized bathroom makes one feel comfortably welcome.
Service
Friendly and offering welcome suggestions. Never hovering.
Value
Price is right for a romantic comfotable night out.
